1.  Processing cases of grant and renewal of licences of trade organizations.

2.  Cancel licence of non-compliant trade organizations.

3.  A forum for dispute resolution relating to affairs of TOs i.e. membership matters, election matters, general complaints of members against TOs etc.

4.  Monitoring of elections of TOs.

5.  Acting as final forum of appeal in election related matters.

6.  Appointment and Supervision of Administrator(s).

7.  Liasion with SECP to synchronize activitites in regulating affairs of TO's.

8.  Impose and collect penalties under the Act.
